Many failed to listen to her well-grounded, hard hitting advice but often their bad decisions were saved by a rising property market. But now with the housing market down turn, and lending still in crisis, a stable property market a dim and distant memory, there's never been a harder time to develop. Natasha and Loretta, and Loretta's husband David, banked every single penny on splitting a three-storey end of terrace house in Brentford, Middlesex into two flats. But even when they first started out back in 2007, Sarah had reservations about their plans. Meanwhile in Newport, South Wales, Sean and Nicola Horler hoped to squeeze even more flats out of their terraced house, but Sarah believes they should spread their risk by creating a three-bed maisonette and a flat instead.
